REALACAD PROGRAM ADVISORS

The RealAcad program advisors are highly successful executives with work experience in top notch multinational companies. Hailing from diverse cultural backgrounds, our distinguished advisors combine the skills and excellence that it takes to be successful. They all take precious time out of their busy schedules to provide RealAcad participants with a unique first-hand insight into the world of venture management and will dedicate themselves to preparing RealAcad participants for their future career experiences. They are the best in their fields and ensure that the learning and teaching experience remains vividly etched in participants’ minds even long after they have left the camp.

RealAcad program advisors:

Ankur Malik is Director of the Global Realizer Group since 2005. He is also working with a Private Equity and Advisory firm. Prior to this, Ankur worked at Boston Consulting Group from 1998 till 2005. While at BCG he was sponsored for an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University at Chicago where he graduated with Dean Lists Honors as a major in Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Ankur holds a B.Eng from NTU, Singapore on Merit Scholarship. He has also worked at IBM, ALSTOM and Hedge Fund in Singapore, Seattle and San Francisco. He has founded a charity organization (AidCharity), not-for-profit (RealAcad) and multiple other ventures. In his leisure time he enjoys soccer, swimming and audio books.


Miriam Claes is a Management Consultant. She worked for McKinsey & Co. from 1999 to 2006. She earned her MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University at Chicago where she graduated top of the class with distinction. She majored in Transportation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Miriam also holds a Master of Business Engineering from K.U.Leuven in Belgium, where she specialized in Operations Management. She has also worked at Goldman Sachs in London and Levi Strauss and CSC in Brussels. She has a strong interest in entrepreneurship and has assisted in the creation multiple successful ventures. In her leisure time she enjoys jazz dance, swimming and travel. Miriam is fluent in Dutch, French and English and has basics in German and Russian..

Paul Cheng is working for a UK based venture capital firm, focused on social enterprises. Formerly, he was the Managing Director of Infotame, Europe. Prior to InfoTame, Paul worked with Microsoft, working with MSN in the UK. Paul has his MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He has a law degree from Oxford University. Paul worked as a corporate lawyer in UK, Hong Kong and China for over five years. In his leisure time he enjoys skiing, reading and travel. Paul is fluent in English and Mandarin.


Tsafrir 'Tsafi' Oranski is working at a Silicon Valley based Venture Capital firm. Formerly he was the Marketing Director of SAP in New York. Prior to SAP, Tsafi was a Major in the Israeli Special Forces. He is one of Israel’s more decorated soldiers. Tsafi has his MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He has an LLM from Israel University. Tsafi has widely traveled across the world, from the Mongolia deserts to the Peruvian peaks. In his leisure time he enjoys harvesting cotton in his Kibbutz, snowboarding, and cooking. Tsafi in Fluent in English, Hebrew, Arabic and is currently working hard on his Vietnamese.

The Top performers from RealAcad program are rewarded with prestigious Student Officer Fellowship and the best among them are invited as Program Leaders to play more leadership roles in RealAcad.

RealAcad program leaders:

Eugenia Xu, has completed her Masters and Bachelor degree at National University of Singapore with First Class Honors and Dean’s List. She worked at a high-tech start up InnoMedia in San Jose California. She also studied entrepreneurship at Stanford University. She has been involved at RealAcad since early 2005. Upon graduation, she chose to join Global Realizer Group, the venture capital firm that funds RealAcad, against other offers from top management consulting firms. In her leisure time, she enjoys making international friends and experiencing new cultures. She also likes to play Chopin’s pieces on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

Stephan Jacob is currently pursuing an MBA/MA dual degree at The Wharton School and the Joseph H. Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Stephan holds a Master in Information Systems from the University of Mannheim and the University of South Australia. For his studies, Stephan received a merit scholarship from the Bavarian Government granted to the top 0.01% graduates in the state. Stephan attended high school at Lake Forest Academy in the US, where he was inducted in the Cum Laude Society and was elected Most Valuable Player in his Swimming and Volleyball teams. Prior to his MBA, Stephan was working as a management consultant for McKinsey and Company, Inc. for 2 years. He also has work experience with Bain & Company and Bunge Ltd., an agribusiness firm in New York , where he traded futures on agricultural commodities and rolled out a Sarbanes Oxley compliance system. In 2004, he volunteered for an anti-child labor NGO in Indonesia for several months. Stephan is married and truly enjoys living abroad, seeing himself as a representative of Generation Global. He is fluent in English, German and Spanish and can converse in Indonesian & French.


Nash Ream, is the Director of CNR, Inc. Prior to this he worked at a strategy consulting firm in San Francisco, where he also worked on forensic accounting and intellectual property cases. He was the Director of Sales for an international marketing firm which was America’s fastest growing private company in 2000. He holds a B.Sc. in International Business and Economics from Whittier College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Nash is co-founder of the not-for-profit Yosemite National Institute in Southern California. In his leisure time, he enjoys training for his next marathon or triathlon as well as international travel. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is working hard on his Mandarin.
